Continuing my look back over last year with spring in the courtyard in April and fresh new growth |
The fountain always flamboyant starts to tinkle |
Irises emerge amongst the box balls in the car park |
April
A little cheating with a newly planted urn in a rear courtyard |
Spring surprises |
Gravel paths waiting to be explored as summer approaches |
Heady days and tea is ready to be served in the garden at last |
May
June
Pots soften the terrace |
Lush new growth on the Parterre |
Tranquil mornings overlooking Mounts Bay |
The heat embraces the Italian Gardens |
Mounts Bay develops a new glow |
Lanterns waiting for candles in the courtyard |
Foxgloves |
Spud Cat |
How do you manage to water all those pots with all the other jobs that you have to fit in in the day! I bet you never sit down in the summer.
ReplyDeleteI'd love the agaves and the echiums & the marguerites and rosemary in pots complement each other.
At long last we've finished cutting back those *****y leylandii...20 feet; I'm planting more beech hedge nearby. It's a long story! The carrot fields look like the Somme, but it's sunny with gales today. Cabin fever to get on the land to plough but it must be far worse at your end, hope you are not suffering too much. Spud will be checking sofa's by now! Keep smiling, Pats.x.
Hi pats and yes the pots do take a little bit of time each evening - sometimes I'm quite pleased when the nights draw in because I can go to bed earlier! We seem to have the daily gale at the moment and the land is so wet - we had an entertaining half an hour digging out a drain yesterday - a bit like mud pies as a child but satisfying to watch the muddy water start to flow again! Chin up Christine xx
