Lands End with Mike McNally

With the rain on the stable roofs turning from a steady patter to an insistent drumming and only a solitary blackbird hunting for the plump golden oats that the brood mares sometimes drop from their Breakfast, I was thrilled to receive a disk of photos from one of my regular couples that stay at Ednovean Farm. I have chosen this stunning image of lands End that Mike took whilst on his holiday here to brighten up the day and I'll add a some more over the coming weeks. If you can't wait until then visit Mikes web site

http://www.mikemcnallyphotography.co.uk/ for gorgeous West Country shots and a stunning set of local Ariel views taken when Mike hired a Plane from land's End (I think).............his wife was still in recovery the next morning at breakfast!

Charles's particular favourite has to be this though - I'd be grateful for any more information but hope this evocative stone work is at St Micheal's Mount? Any one?

So I'll leave you as I contemplate a trip to Curry's to replace our faithful vintage industrial hoover.................
p.s. The cat managed a short walk earlier this morning and has now refiled himself in the office.
Mike McNally replied last night:-

"The bronze(?) statue is actually set into the archway into the churchyard on St Michaels Mount. I understand it depicts a scene from the book of Revelations when the Archangel Michael, defeated the rebel forces of Satan. (as depicted in the 17th centry poem Paradise Lost by John Milton)"
Thank you for that information.
