Danni's son Archie

Archie by our Spanish stallion stallion Danilon

If you have visited us at Edovena farm you've probably been greeted by our Spanish stallion Danilon who likes to oversee the car park from his mission control in his stable "overbooking "or as he would prefer presiding over the car park. Yesterday his first son Archie came back into work after the recent gales and circled the car pak with Charles as he learns his first preliminary lessons before he can go out for hacks in the countryside. It was such  a beautiful day yesterday we spent most of the day outside  it could almost have been Danni's native Spain!

  1. You do have a lovely way with words Christine. Daffs are glorious and the scent of Spring. And Louis, he has the look of an Abyssinian, hope he finds his new circumstances to his satisfaction, I can feel your affection for him already! And Archie.....I remember riding Spanish horses on Sitges holidays in the 1960's. There used to be a tiny riding establishment, 4 horses at the back of the then small town surrounded by wild stunted rosemary bushes, a shed really....what wonderful memories you've given me. I must look out the photographs. Enjoy this drilling (sowing corn) weather!

  2. Thank you Pats that is kind and haven't the Daffodils have been a joy this year after the long hard winter. Alas Spud is not so sure about the glorious Burmese Lois, as hedge row royalty himself, he is very picky about his associates!
Feeling very envious of your idyllic holiday in Spain I can nearly smell the crushed Rosemary under the horse feet Ah well back to work - you to your drilling and me to the painting and mucking out but isn't the internet wonderful for keeping in touch!
