It's potatoes down in this part of Cornwall at the moment relentlessly trundling through the machinery of the farmyards Danni and I pass through. The barley is still looking very green in the fields but the honeysuckle growing on the banks has started to flower which I always think is a sign of the harvest. i thought of you with a huge picture fest in my latest post so hope you enjoy the garden. And no, it's not just you with that lovely aroma of the freshly laid woolly stuff.....

Ours and your busiest time of the year just now I suspect; but we are rained off from combining at present and the chaps in the family are wearing out the teapot as well as the office carpet! Our wild flower meadow is alive with insects too and the swallows and bats swoop over at dusk giving a wonderful aerial display. Ditto with breakfasts too, can't do without it this time of year, for the energy! our days have not been finishing 'till gone 10pm and after a late supper, we collapse in a heap to bed.
Looking forward to the garden pictures...life is beautiful.
Pats. x. Hen caught his middle finger on the new combine grain lid and cut a perfect V shape on the pad, and later trapped the other hand on something else, and ditto, a matched set. Thursday must have been one of "those" days, very bloody! The air was as blue as your garden glimpse of the sky! Garden is sooo beautiful, top marks for effort.

We have finished drilling, and are now spraying. And Louis, he has the look of an Abyssinian, hope he finds his new circumstances to his satisfaction, I can feel your affection for him already!
